Looking after your Oral Health during Coronavirus lockdown
We hope you are all keeping safe and well at home?!
Just a little reminder on how you can best look after your teeth and gums during the Coronavirus lockdown!
1) Brushing your teeth twice a day for 2 minutes
2) Cleaning in-between your teeth with floss or interdental (Tepe) brushes
3) Spit out, but don’t rinse away, your fluoride toothpaste
4) Use a fluoride mouthwash at a different time in the day from brushing your teeth
As we are in lockdown, it’s really tempting to keep snacking throughout the day. But this is really bad for your teeth and can lead to cavities forming! Every time you eat or drink it causes an acid build up in your mouth which lasts for 30-40 minutes. This acid damages your teeth and will cause cavities to form. Instead, try and sticking to three good-sized meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) to reduce those hunger cravings!
